According to Article 14 of the Occupational Safety Regulation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, it is mandatory to have workplace physicians and health personnel in “workplaces with 50 or more employees”

Workplace Physician

All jobs with a certain number of staff are required to appoint physicians and medical staff. The health measures that must be taken at work are the reasons for imposing such a duty on the places of work under the legislation. All places of work must comply with this requirement to take and implement workplace safety and health measures and to carry out employees’ first aid and emergency interventions.

Under current conditions, simple precautions can be used to prevent work accidents. However, despite all of the measures taken, the physicians at work must intervene urgently in the event of occupational accidents. At the time of taking measures to prevent accidents at work, occupational safety specialists should be assigned and workplace doctors and health staff should be appointed to deal with occupational accidents in emergency situations.

Workplace Physician Assignment
